Carteret County Public Schools' School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is an advisory group of individuals primarily from the education and health-related segments of our schools and community. With the eight components of school health (Health Education, Physical Education, Nutrition Services, Family and Community, Mental and Social Health, Staff Wellness, School Environment, and Health Services) as the core focus, the group provides a plan of consistent and focused action to improve the health and well being of students and staff.
