Federal Programs Home

Parents Right to Know - Parents of students attending Title I schools may have access to teacher qualifications upon request.  All teachers in Title I schools are required to be licensed in the area in which they teach.

Derechos que deben saber los padres – Padres de niños que están asistiendo escuelas calificadas como Título I pueden pedir o solicitar las cualificaciones profesionales o calificación del maestro.  Todo maestro en escuelas Título I debe ser altamente calificado según esta definido por el Departamento de Instrucción de Carolina del Norte.

Title I  

Programs include: parent & family engagement, prekindergarten, additional academic programs, and private school services

Title II - Improving Teacher Quality

Programs Include: beginning teachers induction, mentor programs, improving teacher quality, licensure

 

Title III - English as a Second Language

Programs include:  ESL Instruction, ACCESS testing, supplemental programming and activities

 

Title IV 

Programs include:  activities to support well-rounded students and safe and healthy students

 

Title VI - Rural Low Income Schools

Programs follow guidelines of Title I and Title II
